The Debt People – The People who Help

help with debts

At The Debt People we live up to our title as “The People who Help”. No matter what your debt problem we will help and, no matter how small your debts, we will recommend a solution.

We know that many of our clients have come under great pressure from their creditors and from debt collectors and we offer a refuge where you can be certain that someone is on your side.  The Debt People will ensure that you are given a friendly, confidential and professional service, no matter how bad you think your situation is.

In cases of unsecured debt under £12,000, or where you could repay your debt more quickly, we might suggest a Debt Management Plan from our sister company, The Debt Point.  The Debt Point operates to exactly the same high standards which you would expect from a leading company in the field.

Another option which might need to be considered is a consolidation loan. At The Debt People we do not offer loans but, if that is the correct advice for you, we will recommend our sister company, The Loan Point; a highly ethical and trusted broker which will help you to find the right loan for your individual circumstances.

For some people the only remaining option is bankruptcy and we will of course identify this option in appropriate cases. Bankruptcy really is a last resort and the consequences can be drastic – loss of your home and your assets and in many cases loss of your job, as well as the embarrassment of having your bankruptcy advertised and placed on a public register. Despite all this we promise that we will always provide the best advice and, sadly, for some this means bankruptcy.  If it appears that bankruptcy might be the best option for you we will refer you to the Citizens’ Advice Bureau for specialist and free advice and assistance.

A much less drastic option than bankruptcy and one which is right for an increasing number of people is an IVA or Individual Voluntary Arrangement and we at The Debt People are experts in putting together an IVA which is tailor made for each client. So what is an IVA?
